Anti-Ragging Cell – IIHER

At the Indian Institute of Higher Education & Research (IIHER), we uphold the values of respect, safety, and dignity for every student. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form and are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all.

What is Ragging?

Ragging is any act of physical or mental abuse, bullying, or harassment of students, especially new entrants, by their peers. It is strictly prohibited under law and considered a punishable offence as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

Our Commitment

  • Zero tolerance towards any form of ragging – verbal, physical, emotional, or cyber

  • Strict enforcement of UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging

  • Constant monitoring and awareness campaigns to prevent ragging incidents

The Anti-Ragging Cell of IIHER actively works to ensure that the campus remains ragging-free. The cell comprises faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives who are responsible for maintaining discipline and promptly addressing any complaints.

Key Responsibilities
